Privacy Policy

TextMeasure is a privacy-first collection of browser-based text analysis tools. This policy explains what we collect, what we do not collect, and how tool input is handled in the current version of the site.

Introduction

TextMeasure provides free tools for informational, educational, writing, and productivity use. We aim to keep the site simple, transparent, and respectful of user privacy.

Information we do not collect

TextMeasure does not require accounts, login credentials, profiles, subscriptions, or a database for the current browser-based tool experience. We do not ask users to submit personal details to use the tools.

Text entered into tools

TextMeasure currently processes tool input directly in the browser. We do not intentionally upload, store, or analyze user text on our servers as part of the current browser-based tool experience.

Browser-based processing

Syllable counts, word counts, character counts, line counts, and readability estimates are calculated in the user's browser. This helps keep pasted writing private while still providing instant results.

Contact emails

If you contact TextMeasure by email, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, and any details included in the email. We use this information to respond to questions, feedback, corrections, bug reports, or content inquiries.

Cookies and analytics

TextMeasure does not currently use tracking scripts, advertising cookies, or analytics services. If analytics, ads, affiliate links, cookies, or third-party services are added later, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain what is used and why.

Third-party services

The current MVP does not rely on an external API to analyze user text. Some pages may link to external sites for reference or navigation. External sites have their own privacy practices.

Data security

No website can promise perfect security. TextMeasure limits the data it asks for and keeps the current tool experience browser-based to reduce unnecessary data handling.

Children's privacy

TextMeasure is intended as a general writing and educational utility. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. Students and younger users should use the site with appropriate guidance from a parent, guardian, or teacher.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as TextMeasure changes. Updates will be posted on this page with revised wording that reflects the current service.
